I. How To Unlock

Perilous Expedition takes place between July 27th and August 7th, 2023. You need to reach Adventure Rank 20 and above and complete the Archon Quest "Song of the Dragon and Freedom" in Mondstadt to be eligible for this event.

After unlocking this event, you go to Sumeru and talk to the NPC Peixiu to start the event. The gate of the domain is right next to him. Go to the gate and interact with it to enter the domain.

II. Best Tips To Win

There are four levels of difficulty: Normal, Hard, Crisis, and Dire. To claim all rewards every day, you need to complete three challenges in each domain with 10 different characters. Here are some tips to win these challenges at the highest difficulty level.

  • Check out the enemy line before setting up your team.
  • Complete three challenges at different levels of difficulty, from Hard to Dire.
  • Choose different characters for each challenge to use 10 different characters for each domain.
  • Select characters with buffs to boost the damage for the whole team.

As you need to use ten different characters for three challenges, you should build the best DPS units and supporters that you have.

III. Best Teams For Dire Level

You need to have strong teams to win the Dire-level challenges. As you will always counter enemy mobs in Perilous Expedition, AoE teams should be preferred. Let's check out the best teams for Days 1 to 3 here.

#1. Day 1

Valley of Divergence features crowds of small enemies. You should use AoE attacks and reactions or gather small bosses to hit and clear them quickly.

  • Albedo, Ayato, Venti, and Fischl in round 1;
  • Kazuha, Childe, Xiangling, and Bennett in round 2;
  • Nahida, Alhaitham, Xingqiu, and Kuki Shinobu for round 3.

Use at least one sword/claymore/polearm to deal Physical DMG to big bosses.

#2. Day 2

Obscured End features Eremite, Hilichurl, and Abyss Order mages. Here are optimal teams to counter them.

IV. Perilous Expedition Rewards

The Perilous Expedition is a 420-Primogem event. Each domain gives players 80 Primogems for completing the challenge at any level of difficulty. Besides, you will get Character Level-Up materials and Weapon Ascension/Level-Up Materials for fulfilling other objectives.
